Kathleen Cohrs

A funeral service for Kathleen Cohrs, age 61, of Lake Park and formerly of Mesa, Arizona, will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake. Visitation will be on Monday, November 21st from 5:00-7:00 PM at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Kathleen Ann Cohrs, the daughter of Bernard and Ardith (Lalone) Cohrs, was born October 3, 1955 in Spirit Lake, Iowa. After graduating from Spirit Lake High School in 1973, she graduated from the University of Iowa. Kathleen lived in various places including Denver, Atlanta, Dallas and Phoenix before moving to Lake Park in 2011. Kathleen loved to work outdoors and help on the farm. She was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes. Kathleen was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Kathleen passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake at sixty-one years of age. She was survived by her son, Jay Olding of Mesa, Arizona; father, Bernie Cohrs of Lake Park, Iowa; brother, Gary (Cathy) Cohrs of Spirit Lake; her special niece, Courtney Cohrs; aunt, Norma (Wayne) Clark of Lakefield, Minnesota; uncle, Jack (Vivian) Lalone of Wahpeton, Iowa and several cousins. Kathleen was preceded in death by her mother, Ardith; grandparents and one brother, Jay.
