Kenneth R. Cable was born February 7, 1926. At age 3, Ken was adopted by Emil and Grace Cable. He attended a country school as a young boy and received his GED at age 70. Ken served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII as a Tech Sergeant and was discharged in 1946. Ken was united in marriage to Laura Williamson from 1944-1969 and then to Candy Clark from 1970-1979.
Ken farmed south of Milford most of his life. He enjoyed flying planes, hunting, fishing and going to horse shows. He also enjoyed fixing motors, playing with his goats and dogs and baseball games.
Ken passed away July 2, 2011 at the Lake Park Care Center in Lake Park, Iowa at eighty-five years of age.
He is survived by his son, Don (Connie) Cable and their children, Lori, Leah and Brian; daughter, Sheri (Tom) Arends and their daughter, Jorrie; daughter, Amy (Rich) Anderson, all of Milford; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and all of his extended children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Chris Arends; parents; brothers, Art Cable, Ed Kalous, Bob Kalous and Floyd Kalous; sister, Grace.
