Lavonne Leek

LaVonne Mary Leek was born August 5, 1929 to Ernest and Ruth (Brown) Boyer in Petersburg, Minnesota. On October 22, 1954 LaVonne was united in marriage to Gerald Leek at Canton, South Dakota. They moved to Spirit Lake where she was a housewife who enjoyed cooking, canning, and sewing. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing bingo, other games and traveling. LaVonne was a member of the United Methodist Church in Spirit Lake. LaVonne passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Hilltop Care Center at eighty four years of age. Surviving LaVonne is her husband, Gerald of Spirit Lake; five children and their spouses, Ernastine "Teena" (Mert) Henning of Worthington, Minnesota, Robert (Sherie) Leek of Bakersfield, California, Jeffrey (LaVay) Mosley of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Sherri (Dan) Wedeking of Spirit Lake, Iowa and William (Becky) Leek of Newell, Iowa. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
