A Celebration of Life for Leah Brevik, age 43, of Arnolds Park, will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Good News Community Church in Okoboji. Following the service, there will be a time of fellowship at the church until 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given in Leah's memory to the family.
Leah Marie Brevik
, the daughter of Doug and Char Cooklin, was born on October 25, 1978 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Growing up, Leah attended school at Redmond Washington schools and received her high school diploma from Chrysalis High School.
On June 23, 2018, Leah was united in marriage to Shilo Brevik in Arnolds Park, Iowa.
Throughout her life, Leah lived in Seattle, Washington and the Lakes area. She worked at EXIT Realty Midwest as the office administrator.
In her free time, Leah loved spending time with her family, children, and grandkids. She also enjoyed boating, listening to live music, and riding motorcycles. Leah loved the lakes and enjoyed the sunshine.
Leah passed on November 18, 2021 in Rochester, Minnesota.
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Doug and Char Cooklin; husband, Shilo; children: Gunner, Dakota, and Ty; step-daughters, Kyra and Jaedyn; grandkids, Oliver and Ben; brother, Nic (Jenn) Cooklin and their family; sister, Rene (Dave) Hessel and their family; grandma, Dee Zinnel; parents-in-law, Rob and Vicki Brevik; brother-in-law, Shane and Kathleen Brevik; sister-in-law, Shoni Brevik; extended family and friends.
Leah was preceded in death by her grandparents.
