Linda Bryant Arndt

A funeral service for Linda "Sammie" Bryant Arndt, 72, of Dickens, and formerly of Okoboji, will be held Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 2:00pm at Good News Community Church. Burial will be at Lakeview Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 30th after 4:00pm with the family present from 4:00-6:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Linda "Sammie" Bryant Arndt, the daughter of Arlene (Hill) and Lloyd Jurgensen, was born December 28, 1942 in Primghar, Iowa. On March 17, 1979, Sammie was married to Fred Bryant in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Sammie lived in Sioux City, Iowa and Elkhorn, Nebraska before moving to Spirit Lake in 1992. During this time, they owned and operated A-One Water Specialists, a RainSoft Distributor. Fred passed away in 2008. Later, Sammie was married to Gary Arndt and they made their home in Dickens, Iowa. She was a member of the Good News Community Church. She was an avid fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Minnesota Vikings. She loved to go shopping, go out for dinner and her favorite time of year was Christmas. Sammie passed away September 28, 2015 at her home in Dickens, Iowa at seventy-two years of age. She is survived by her husband, Gary Arndt of Dickens; sister, Ladonna of Vermont; brothers, Roger (Joan) Jurgensen of Spencer, Iowa and Randy (Denise) Jurgensen of Linn Grove, Iowa; step-daughters, Tracy (Kim) Stangel of Grand Rapids, Minnesota and Tricia Norgaard of Dickens; many nieces and nephews.
