Linda Lowe

Services for Linda Lowe, 64, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, will be 10:30 am Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Interment will be at Lakeview Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake. Visitation will begin after 3 pm Tuesday, with the family present from 5-7 pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Linda Marie Lowe, the daughter of Elizabeth (VanGorkam) and Alfred Albertsen, was born December 15, 1950 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. At three years of age, the family moved to Burlington, Iowa where they lived until their move to Spirit Lake in 1960. She graduated from Spirit Lake High School and completed her education at the Junior College in Estherville, Iowa. On October 14, 1987, Linda was united in marriage to Steve Lowe in Spirit Lake. Her greatest joy was taking care of the home and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She loved to cook (her grandkids' favorite was her cinnamon sugar toast), dance, play cards and visit with friends and family. She also spent time volunteering at the VFW and was a member of the Housing Board. Linda passed away July 26, 2015 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at sixty-four years of age. She is survived by her husband, Steve; daughter, Bridget (Nik) Knudson and their children, Tyler and Lindsay; daughter, Brenda Harrold and her children, Sydney and Emily; step-son, Steve (Kim) Lowe and their children, Nichole and Dustin; step-son, Stan Lowe and his children, Angela and Domenic; and step-son, Brian Lowe and his son, Stuwart; one brother, Bill (Vicky) Albertsen; two other special girls in her life, Jessica and Krista Brown. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a stillborn brother, Alfred.
