Funeral: Monday, December 3, 2012 at 11:00am at United Methodist Church in Lake Park. A private interment will be held at a later date.
V. Lorraine Woodrum Bush was born April 25, 1922, the fourth of six children, in Sioux Valley, Minnesota the daughter of Raymond K and Wilma (Untiedt) Woodrum.. Lorraine was raised and educated near Lake Park, Iowa, graduating from Lake Park High School in 1940.
Lorraine was united in marriage to Glen E. Bush on March 15, 1942 in Worthington, Minnesota. Serving as Best Man for the ceromonies was Palmer L. Bush, and the Matron of Honor was Leone (Ihnen) Bush.
The couple made their home east of Lake Park, where they raised their children, Lorren "Rennie", Jan and Shane, farmed and raised purebred Hereford cattle. In addition to raising the family and assisting on the farm, later in life, Lorraine was a Realtor & Real Estate Broker with the Dennis Lippon Agency in Spirit Lake.
Lorraine was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lake Park, where she was active in the Methodist Church Women. She was also a member of Dickinson County Republican Women, Lakes Area Realtors Association and the American Hereford Association. Lorraine's Great Grand-daughter, Cyan, gave the nickname GG, which stood for Great Grandmother. She was known as GG or GiGi to family and close friends.
Lorriane passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake at ninety years of age.
She is survived by a sister, Joye Terazon, Mesa, AZ; Children, Lorren (Don) Smith, Ft. Pierre, SD, Jan (Jim) Wiese, Lake Park, IA; Shane (Bette) Bush, Milford, IA; grandchildren, Roxanne, Judy, Lee, Jill, Justin, Jordan and Jessica: great grandchildren, Heather, Hannah, Rachael, Sarah, Beth, Blake, Cody, Riley, Wyatt, Cyan, Alia, River, Parker, Spencer, Cooper, Jaxson, Mia and Charles; sister-in-law, Ardis Woodrum; nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; parents, Wilma and Raymond; brothers, Earle, Kenneth and Clyde; sister, Inez; grandson Ryan; four brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; a step-brother; three nephews and a niece.
