A funeral service for Marcia Lyn Osberg, age 47, of Vesta, Minnesota and formerly of Spirit Lake, will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 at 10:30AM at Grandview Baptist Church in Estherville. Burial will be at Lakeview Gardens Cemetery in Spirit Lake. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 27th after 4:00pm with the family present from 4:00-6:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake.
Marcia Lyn Osberg, the daughter of Jeannette (Johnson) and Delmer Christoffer, was born August 3, 1969 in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Marcia was baptized in the Grace Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake.
After graduating from Spirit Lake High School in 1987, she attended many local colleges and universities receiving degrees in business and human services. Marcia lived in numerous places throughout Minnesota and Iowa before she made her home in Maple Lake, Minnesota. She was last employed with Kaltech in Monticello as an accountant and office manager.
Marcia periodically attended Grandview Baptist church in Estherville Iowa when her health permitted, with her parents, sister and brother in law. She enjoyed bible study, getting to know Pastor Joel Jorgensen and the entire congregation.
Marcia was a social butterfly. She let no grass grow under her feet. She loved her son, her family and friends. She loved socializing with her friends, shopping, decorating her home, camping, being outdoors and most recently learned how to run a embroidery machine. Marcia touched lives where ever she went and with whom ever she met.
Marcia passed away November 20, 2016 at her sister's home in Vesta, Minnesota at forty-seven years of age.
She is survived by her son, Joey Dale; father, Delmer Christoffer and step-mom, Diane; four sisters, Dawn (Mike) Naatjes, Rhonda (Jeff) Meyer, Tammy (Scott) Werner and Paula (Chris) Pitsilos; one brother, Ryan (April) Rubeck; grandmother, Beryl Johnson and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and of course her many friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Jeannette Rubeck, nephew Roman Rubeck, grandparents Lyle Johnson, Frances and Donald Christoffer and Gladys and Elmer Serck.
