Margie Bolt

A funeral service for Margie Bolt, age 94 of Milford will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Burial will follow at the North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer, IA. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 one hour before the service at the funeral home. Margie Louise Bolt, the daughter of Ondena (Trent) and Carl Carlson, was born July 30, 1924, in Howard, South Dakota. She graduated from Sac City High School. Margie married Jerry Bolt and the couple had one son, Dan Bolt. Margie and a good friend, Harold Romig, operated Harold's Fisherman's Wharf and later, she and her son, Dan, owned and operated Dan's Restaurant in Milford. She was a member of the snowmobile club, Snowhawks, and loved to snowmobile in Minnesota, Wyoming and the Black Hills. She also enjoyed caring for plants and flowers. Margie passed away October 5, 2018 at Accura Healthcare in Milford, Iowa at ninety-four years of age. She is survived by her cousins, LaVonne Kuehl and Sharon Sorensen. Margie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Bolt; son, Dan Bolt and longtime friend, Harold Romig.
