Marilyn Hoffman-Hjelmeland, age 71 of Milford, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 at her home in Milford.
Marilyn Dorene Hoffman-Hjelmeland was born March 14, 1941 in Milford, Iowa to Clifford and Grace (Marsh) Kinkade.
She lived in Milford her entire life and attended Milford High School. Marilyn married Gerhard (Whitey) Hjelmeland on October 3, 1998 in West Okoboji. She was a member of the Fostoria United Methodist Church.
Marilyn enjoyed reading, gardening, going to casinos, watching birds, spending time with her family and pets and going to karaoke night with her husband.
She is survived by her husband, Whitey of Milford, Iowa; son, Doug (Judy) Hoffman of Milford, Iowa; daughters, Dona (David) Downing of Corpus Christi, Texas, Judy (Roger) Brons of Milford, Iowa and Janet (Jim) Siegel of Des Moines, Iowa; extended family, Ron (Jodie) Hjelmeland of Rutland, Iowa and Rick (Courtney) Hjelmeland of Dakota City, Iowa; two brothers, Howard (Stephanie) Kinkade of Valparaiso, Indiana and Dewight of Erwin, Iowa; 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her father and mother, Clifford and Grace Kinkade, one infant brother and her first husband, Marvin Hoffman.
