Marius A. Almarza Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 3, 1941, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Marius was the son of Jose and Adele Almarza. He grew up in Honolulu, where he attended school and earned his high school diploma. He was a proud St. Louis alumni.
On June 15, 1967, Marius married Carrie Ann Almarza in Honolulu. Marius dedicated many years of his life to working as a produce manager for 43 years at Foodland, where he was known for his hard work and dedication.
In 2023, Marius moved to Spirit Lake. He was passionate about fishing and was a skilled Hawaiian throw net maker, often sharing these traditions with his family.
Marius is survived by his family: Debra Almarza, Marius Almarza Jr. (Colleen), Stephen Almarza (Maureen), and Cynthia (Kaleio) Robinson (Robert), Kalani Clark, and Koa Clark (Sara). He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carrie, and his son-in-law, John Edayan.
Services will be held at a later date in Hawaii.
