A funeral service for Marjorie Ann Brueggeman, 87, of Lake Park, will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, December 31, 2018, at the American Reformed Church in Worthington, Minnesota. Interment will be at Union Township Cemetery in Harris, Iowa. Visitation will begin after 5 pm, Sunday, December 30, 2018, with the family present from 5-7 pm, at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Lake Park. Marjorie Ann "Marge" Brueggeman was born November 26, 1931, in Clay County, the daughter of Nathan and Agnes (Tweet) Gould. She was raised near Milford, Iowa, and graduated from Okoboji Township High School. Marge was united in marriage to Bud Brueggeman on July 6, 1949, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Harris, Iowa, where they were members their 57 years of marriage, and she was the church organist. The couple made their home outside of Harris where they farmed. Upon retirement in 1975, the couple moved to Lake Park. Marge was a member of American Reformed Church in Worthington, MN, where she was a member of Hope Circle. Marge used her sewing talents to make pillowcase dresses for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes, and crocheting doilies and counted cross stitch pictures for the Youth Auction and many family and friends. Marge was a member of the Lake Park Historical Society, and the O'Sirrah Federated Woman's Club of Harris. Bud and Marge enjoyed spending their winters in Mesa where she was involved in acting and clogging. Marge was an avid bowler and golfer belonging to leagues into her 80's. Above all, she loved her family, especially watching her grandchildren in their sports and music activities. Marge died Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Pearl Valley Care Center in Lake Park at eighty-seven years of age. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a daughter, Gee Dee. Marge is survived by her children, Steve & Linda Brueggeman, and their children, Wade Brueggeman & Emily, Jon & Megan Brueggeman, Josh Brueggeman & Tara, and Kyle & Casey Brueggeman; Al & Judy Brueggeman, and their children, Allison & Stephen Larson, and Nate Brueggeman; and Brian & Laurie Brueggeman, and their children, Samantha & Robert McCandeless, and Miranda & Jacob Jenness. She is also survived by her eight great grandchildren, her brother Harlan Gould of Milford, IA, and other family and friends.
