A funeral service for Marvin Jungjohan, age 80, of Port St. Lucie, Florida and formerly of Lake Park, will be held Tuesday, November 20th at 2:00pm at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park. Visitation will be on Monday, November 19th from 4:00-6:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Lake Park.
Marvin Vern Jungjohan was born on a farm north of Lake Park, Iowa on June 16, 1938. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and attended school at Sioux Valley Minnesota.
On September 4, 1960 he was united in marriage to Frances Joens at First Presbyterian Church. They lived in Lake Park where they raised Tim, Lori and Steve. Marv worked as a mechanic at Schierholt Implement Co., Jaycox Implement, Inc. and then was co-owner with his brother-in-law of Jerry & Marv's Service Center for many years.
Marv was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park and also attended Morningside Church in Port St. Lucie. Family was the most important interest in his life, and he was always very close to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed visiting with everyone, classic cars and watching football. Marv will be dearly missed by all and remembered for his positive attitude, sense of humor, great smile and infectious laugh. Blessed be the memory of Marvin Jungjohan.
Marvin Jungjohan, 80, passed away October 27, 2018 at his home in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Fran Jungjohan of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; son Steve (Melissa) Jungjohan and granddaughter, Kayla, all of Port St. Lucie, Florida; son-in-law, Doug Sangl of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; grandson, Mack (Sami) Jungjohan and great-grandchildren, Noah and Isabella, all of Honolulu, Hawaii; grandson, Zach Jungjohan of Fayetteville, North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Ramona Hammer of Fayetteville, North Carolina; granddaughter, Abby Jungjohan of Iowa City, Iowa; and daughter-in-law, Jan Jungjohan of West Liberty, Iowa; sisters-in-law Jan Sathren and Linda (Jerry) Weerts, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by son, Tim Jungjohan; daughter, Lori Jungjohan Sangl; mother and step-father, Iva and Harold Habeck; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Velda Joens; brother-in-law Darrell Sathren, 1 great-niece and 2 great-nephews.
