Mary "Cathy" Murray Lloyd

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary "Cathy" Murray Lloyd, age 67, of Milford, will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Milford. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, Monday, January 13, 2025, with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milford.

Mary "Cathy" Murray Lloyd, a longtime resident of Milford, Iowa, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on September 29, 1957, Mary spent the last two decades in Milford after previously residing in Stephenville, Texas. 

Mary shared a loving relationship with her companion, Tim Derner. Mary was a devoted mother to her daughters, Kristi Allgood (husband Michael), and Kendra Goodrick (husband Devin). Mary took great pride in her role as a grandmother to Madison, Hannah, Sarah, Savannah, and Haleigh. Additionally, she is survived by Tim’s children, Kristy Miller (married to Josh) and Jeff Derner (married to Tonya). Mary had an unconditional love for Tim’s grandchildren, Lily, Oliver, and Liam. She is also survived by her sister Cindy, brothers Dan and Jason and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Donna Murray, as well as her grandson Tyler Fitzgerald. 

Known for her kind and generous spirit, Mary brought warmth and joy to those around her. She enjoyed sewing, thrifting for hidden treasures, and spending cherished moments with friends and family. Her hobbies reflected her creativity and love for connection. 

Mary dedicated over 20 years of service to Walmart, where she built lasting relationships with associates and customers alike. Her work ethic and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Mary’s memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and all who were fortunate enough to know her. 

May her legacy of kindness bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
