Ricky Lee Brons was born on September 13, 1962, in Worthington, Minnesota, the son of Theodore and Virginia Brons (Stroup). Rick grew up in Lake Park, attending and graduating from Harris-Lake Park High School.

From an early age, Rick worked at Carstensen's Meats and Processing as a butcher in Lake Park, and went by the nickname "Bronzee the Butcher". He eventually bought the business. He went on to work behind the meat counter at Fareway in Spirit Lake before recently realizing a life long dream of becoming a Federal Meat Inspector for the USDA.

Rick loved his children Colin, Chandler and Abby, and especially loved his grand-daughter, Daisy June. He loved tinkering with various projects in his garage. Rick found listening to music therapeutic and loved taking his children for a ride around town. He lived by the motto "Smile and the world smiles back" and his smile never failed to brighten your day.

Rick is survived by his children, Colin and his fiancé Morgan Kane, Chandler Kleinhesselink, her husband Bradley and their daughter, Daisy June, and Abby Brons; siblings Julie Wells (Scott), Roger Brons (Judy), and Randy Brons (Kerry). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Sadie and Abby, Tyler, Jason and Jenny, Kayla and Kristin, their families, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Virginia, sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Lloyd Kearney, and niece Kristy.

Rick will be fondly remembered by all those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
