Services for Rob Worrick will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Lake Park. Burial will be at Silver Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
Robert Lane Worrick was born September 29, 1962, in Spirit Lake, Iowa, the son of Bob and Aleene (Hensley) Worrick. He was raised and educated in Lake Park, attending Harris Lake Park School.
Rob was united in marriage to Sue Shupe in June, 1984, at Bob and Aleene's home in Lake Park. The couple were blessed with a daughter, Lyndi. They lived in Texas and then Tuscon, Arizona for a short time before moving to back to northwest Iowa. He has lived in Orange City for the past thirteen years.
Rob has held various jobs in his life, most recently as a fork lift operator at Tyson Foods in Orange City. He enjoyed working with his hands, building and flying remote control airplanes in his youth, as well as fishing. He enjoyed his grandchildren.
Rob passed away at his home in Orange City at fifty-one years of age.
Rob is survived by his daughter, Lyndi Webb, her husband Patrick and their children, Thomas and Jackson, all of Sibley, Iowa; mother, Aleene Worrick of Lake Park; brother Rich Worrick and his wife Vivian, of Lake Park; sister, Dara Retting and her husband Dan, of Key Largo, Florida; niece Melanie Deets and her daughter, Madison; cousins, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Worrick and grandparents.
