Robert Fritz

A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 1:30pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Burial will be at Milford Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 27th from 5:00-7:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Robert Jacob Fritz was born on May 15, 1939 at Spencer Iowa to Alvin and Corrine (Eidsvold) Fritz. Robert attended school at Arnolds Park, Iowa. In 1962, he enlisted in the Army. He was discharged in 1968 having achieved the rank of sergeant. On April 11, 1966, Robert was married to Joyce Ann Bailey at Jackson, Minnesota. On April 24, 1992 he was married to Donna Hanson at Spirit Lake, Iowa. Robert lived in various places over his life, but primarily in Iowa. He was the owner/operator of Lindsay's Dock Service. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading and hunting. Robert passed away August 24, 2014 at North Lake Manor in Storm Lake at the age of seventy five. Surviving Robert are his children, Robert Fritz Jr., Mike Fritz and Ray Fritz. Also surviving him are his wife, Donna and her children Chris Swift, Heather Culver and Heath Culver; eighteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Corrine "Toots" Davenport and Pat Pruitt; brother, Mike Fritz and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William "Bill" Fritz and Harold Fritz; sister, Barb Wintz and his first wife, Joyce Bailey.
