Ron Pomrenke

A memorial service for Ron Pomrenke, age 46, of Milford, will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 at 11:00am at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Visitation will be on Monday between 9:00-11:00am at the funeral home. Ronald Lee Pomrenke, the son of Edwin and Sharon Pomrenke, was born April 1, 1968 in Sheldon, Iowa. He graduated from Sheldon High School in 1987. On May 17, 1997, Ron was united in marriage to Barbara Renae Rogne in Spirit Lake. He lived in Ashton, Iowa, Sheldon, Iowa, Estherville, Iowa and Ames Iowa. He then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, Gravois Mills, Missouri and Hayward, Wisconsin before moving to the Lakes Area where he lived in Milford since 2010. Ron owned and operated Captain Ron's Cab. Ron enjoyed listening to music, watching TV, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings each year and talking on the phone to his brothers. He loved to hang out with Alec and Korey and their friends, enjoyed shopping, playing darts and pool, golfing, snowmobiling, boating, swimming and relaxing in a hot tub. He also enjoyed cruising around in his G6 and playing cards with his family and friends. Ron passed away January 15, 2015 at his home in Milford at forty-six years of age. He is survived by his wife, Barb; son, Alec; stepchildren, Breaunna and Korey Rogne; brothers, Rich (Sara) Pomrenke, Randy (Wendy) Pomrenke and Ryan (Christina) Pomrenke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Sharon.
