Rose Lloyd

A funeral service for Rose Lloyd, age 76, of Harris, will be held December 30, 2015 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church in Harris. Burial will be at Union Township Cemetery in Harris. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 29th after 3:00pm with the family present from 5:00-7:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Rose Belle (Pieper) Lloyd was born to Tillman and Della (Else) Luckenbill on August 22, 1939 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Rose was educated at the school in Spirit Lake, Iowa. On June 30, 1956, Rose was united in marriage to Edward Lloyd Jr. in Spirit Lake. They lived in Spirit Lake, Terril, Superior and in Minnesota before moving to Harris, Iowa in 1986. In 1971, Rose began working for Berkleys as a receptionist and also in the mailroom until her retirement from Pure Fishing on September 15, 2005. Rose was a member of the United Methodist Church in Harris, Iowa. Rose was passionate about her family and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her pets, especially her dog, Peanut. Rose liked to garden, raise goats and chickens and one of her favorite things to do was to cook and bake for her family. Rose passed away December 24, 2015 at the Lake Park Care Center in Lake Park, Iowa at seventy-six years of age. She is survived by her children, David Lloyd of Stephenville, Texas, Donna Gerdeman of Lake Park, Iowa, Daniel Lloyd of Spirit Lake, Iowa and Dawn (Kyle) Hageman of Indianola, Iowa; ten grandchildren, Kristi (Michael) Allgood, Kendra Lloyd, Jeremy Gerdeman, Tyler (Maggie) Lloyd, Tysa Lloyd, Lance Gerdeman, Tayla Lloyd, Logan Hageman, Bryce Hageman and Colton Hageman; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Delores Williams; brothers, Chuck Luckenbill, Bill Luckenbill, Dick Luckenbill and Charles Pieper. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; parents, Tillman and Della Luckenbill and Charlie and Ruby Pieper; one great-grandson, Tyler James Fitzgerald; brothers, Robert Luckenbill and James Pieper; sisters, Dolly, Virginia, Mary, Lola, Lula and Evelyn.
