Ruth Marjorie Wulf

Ruth Marjorie Engelhorn, her given name, was born to parents Henry and Lydia (Manus) Engelhorn on August 23, 1914 in Northwood, Iowa. She was baptized into the Christian faith on Easter Sunday 1931. Ruth attended school in Northwood, Iowa and graduated on May 27, 1932. At the age of 18 she moved to join her family in Windom, Minnesota. On August 5, 1934 Ruth was confirmed. In 1937 on November 28, Ruth and Ferdinand Gustav Wulf were married at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Parsonage, Delafield Township. Residing on the family farm in Sioux Valley, Minnesota, together they farmed until retirement. Two children were welcomed into this family, Patricia and Richard. Ruth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Sioux Valley, Minnesota. She belonged to Ladies Aid, Nursing Auxiliary, The Red Hats and the Sioux Valley Garden Club. Ruth enjoyed her family, laughing, baking & cooking, gardening, quilting, her church and time visiting with others. Ruth is remembered by her endless generosity, pleasant demeanor, love for life, hard work and her kind heart. Ruth left us on Saturday February 9, 2013 at the age of 98. Surviving are Ruth's children and family: Patricia and her husband Bob Larson of Spirit Lake, Iowa and Richard and his wife Nancy Wulf of Sioux Valley, Minnesota; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in passing by her sister Murial Bezdicek, her brother Russell Engelhorn, her brother Donald Engelhorn, her parents and her husband. Thank you God for blessing our lives with Ruth's presence.
