Sharon Brown

Mrs. Sharon Brown, 72, of Lake Park, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Memorial services will be 1:30 pm Saturday, February 1, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at church. Sharon Louise Brown, the daughter of Alvida (Gauslow) and Ernest Bowman, was born November 6, 1941 in Walker, Minnesota. She graduated from Walker High in 1959. On May 7, 1960, Sharon was united in marriage to Robert E. Brown in Walker. The couple lived in Longmont, Colorado and Alliance, Nebraska before moving to Lake Park, Iowa in 1998. Sharon liked bird watching, reading and wood carving. She also enjoyed needlework, quilting and gambling. Sharon passed away January 28, 2014 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at seventy-two years of age. She is survived by her children, Susan (Brian) Grabianowski, Cyndi (Jake) Zins and Dan (Kim) Brown; grandchildren, Crystal O'Clair, Brandon Lewis, Brett Fricke, Amber Knips, Jason and Jessica Brown; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Madalyn O'Clair; sisters, Helen and Gail. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents, Alvida and Ernest; siblings, Clara, Richard, Dee, Char and Gay; grandson, Lyle Fricke
