Shirley Gould

A service celebrating the life of Mrs. Shirley Gould 85, of Milford will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Faith Community Church in Milford. Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford after 5:00 p.m. with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Shirley Ann Gould was born June 7, 1933, the daughter of Arthur and Hazel (Alexander) Clark. She was raised and educated in Milford, attending Milford Community School. Shirley was united in marriage to Gaylin Duane Gould on June 18, 1953. The couple made their home five miles west of Milford, where they farmed and raised their four children. They were married for fifty-eight years. Shirley's greatest joy was her family and beloved pets. She always had time for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved music, dancing and entertaining. She especially enjoyed serving helpers at harvest time. Shirley had a strong faith and enjoyed being with her church family. She loved reading her Bible. Shirley had a kind, generous heart. She touched many lives and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Shirley passed away peacefully at home on June 30, 2018 at the age of eighty-five, after a short battle with cancer. Left to celebrate her life are her children, Gary Gould (Donna), Gaye Ann DeMuth (Rick), Diane Wahlman (Eric) and Connie Purchase (Dennis); grandchildren, Jamie Bramwell (Christian), Gina Billings (Zachary), Jared DeMuth (Heidi), Josh Stouffer (Keeva), Sarah Gould (Jay), Jennifer Amesquita (Kevin), Miranda Gould (Taylor) and Stephanie Sporrer (Michael); and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry Clark (Irene), many nieces and nephews and special people, Mark Andersen and Roger Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband Gaylin Duane Gould, brother, Virgil Clark and sisters, Doris Ginger and Betty Anderson.
