Shirley Ann Tutt, the daughter of Earl and Emma (Blomquist) Tutt, was born on September 9, 1933 in Marathon, Iowa. She started school in Marathon, but later went to Laurens where she graduated in 1952. She studied nursing at University of Iowa, graduating in 1955 from a three year program. After graduation, she went to Ames, Iowa and worked at the McFarland Clinic. She went to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge and then to Friendship Haven. Shirley eventually found her way back to Laurens where she worked at the nursing home. She found her way to St Luke's in Spencer working the night shift for a year and a half. From there she worked at Longhouse-Northshire, from which she retired. Shirley moved into Northshire in 2008.
Shirley passed away October 5, 2013 in Spencer, Iowa at eighty years of age.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Bill Baughman; nieces and nephews, Norman Miller, Gloria (Bob) Nichols, Scott Tutt, Peggy Sue Tutt, David (Fran) Tutt, Lisa (Jim) Cravens, Lori (Dan) Ring, Ruthe (Norm) Gran, Jan (Ed) Varnum, Phyllis (Joe Beiler) Weiss, Marilyn (Dan) Elwood, Nancy Brewer and Tom (Cyndi) Baughman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Kathryn (Harry) Miller; brother, Kenneth (Pauline) Tutt; brother, Glenn (Margaret) Tutt; sister, Margaret Baughman and niece, Linda Harriman.
