Teleen Wilson

September 9, 1914 — October 30, 2009

Teleen Bernice Wilson was born to Oscar and Anna (Knudtson) Wilson on September 9, 1914 at Milford, Iowa. She grew up on a farm west of Milford, where she attended school at #1 Westport Township and graduating from Okoboji Consolidated School in rural Milford. Teleen was united in marriage to Glen F. Wilson on August 26, 1936. She jokingly told loved ones she was never to change her maiden name. To this union two sons were born, Gary and Jack. Teleen and Glen lived west of Milford for fifty years, until the spring of 1963, when they moved to Milford. Teleen was head cook for the Milford School for ten years. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable garden, baking bread, playing cards and their fishing trips to Minnesota. She was happiest when family stopped by to see Grandma Teeny. There were always fresh baked goodies to enjoy. Teleen passed away Friday, October 30, 2009 at Milford Nursing Center in Milford, where she had resided since the fall of 2006, at ninety-five years of age. She is survived by her sons, Gary Wilson (Cheryle) of Lost Island (Ruthven) and Jack Wilson (Pat) of Aurelia; grandchildren, Rhonda Weiland, Sheila Anderson, Julie Miller, Todd Wilson and Kiley Wilson; nine great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Dwanna Berry, sister-in-law, Mildred Wilson and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Glen on April 19, 1998, brothers, little Glen and Ed and sisters, Ida, Viola, Martha, Pearl and Bessie. There has never been a woman that has touched so many in such loving ways; If there are angels on earth, we have just sent one back to Heaven. We have lost someone very special.
