Thomas Hughes

Thomas Hughes, the son of Eunice (Rothwell) and Robert Stewart Hughes, was born October 8, 1940 in San Jose, California. After graduating from high school, Tom worked in the printing business and as a handyman. He lived in California, Hawaii and Colorado before he moved to Idaho with his brother's family for a short time. In December, 2014, Tom joined his son's family in Iowa. His family was the highlight of his life and he enjoyed every moment with his grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking, construction, sports, watching TV and loved to help others. Tom passed away September 1, 2015 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake at seventy-four years of age. He is survived by his son, Michael Hughes and his wife, Trisha; grandchildren, Lillian, Emmaline, Noah and Brandon; siblings, Terry Hughes, Sherry Reyes and Jeanie Kellems. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hughes and his mother, Eunice Hughes.
