Tim O'Brion

Timothy Vern O'Brion, 72, went home to be with Jesus on July 24, 2024, at his home in Milford, IA. A memorial service for Tim will be held Monday, July 29, 2024, at First Lutheran Church in West Okoboji at 11 am. Visitation will begin at 10 am, until service time at the church. The family encourages those attending to wear Hawkeye or Chiefs clothing in honor of Tim.

Tim was born on February 9, 1952, in Ft. Dodge, IA, to Harry O'Brion and Willetta Olson O'Brion.

Tim graduated from Ft. Dodge Senior High in 1970. He served in the United States Air Force. He went on to earn an Associate's degree from Iowa Central Community College. He started his career as a Transportation Dispatcher for Greenfield Trucking Company and later worked as a freight broker for Smithway Motor Express and Pioneer Transfer. He retired from Pioneer Transfer in 2018. 

Tim married Teresa Williams on May 8, 1976 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Ft. Dodge. The couple met on a blind date, got engaged five days later, and just celebrated 48 years together. They had 3 children, Emily Dalen (Scott), Erin Schriever (Jamie), and Kari Ramage (Zach). Tim loved being grandpa to 9 grandkids: Jackson and Ava Dalen, Lennon, Owen, Theda, Ben, and Judah Schriever, and Kaily and Barrett Ramage. 

Tim was best known for loving his family. He loved when everyone was together. Tim also liked to give directions in the form of homemade maps or advice to guide our lives. He was happy fishing, watching the birds, feeding the squirrels or playing with his cats. He loved watching his beloved Kansas City Chiefs or Iowa Hawkeyes. We'll miss hearing him sing in church.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Chuck, Linda, and Jim, and too many beloved pets to name. He is survived by his sister, Cheryl, and sister-in-law, Georgia.

Memorials will be directed by family.
