Vance Peterson

A funeral service celebrating the life of Vance Logan Peterson, age 23, of Milford will be held Thursday, May 18th at 3:00 pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Vance Logan Peterson, the son of Jerry and Cindy (Burt) Peterson, was born August 27, 1993 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He attended Okoboji School and then earned his GED through the Job Corps. Vance enjoyed hunting, fishing and arrowhead collecting and hunting. Throughout the years, he invented all kinds of things as well as enjoyed his music and spending time with friends, family and his dog, "Chief". Vance was currently employed servicing and installing docks in the lakes area. Vance was always up for anything! He was kindhearted and was known to be a good listener. He was headstrong and also a very positive person, always smiling, funny and simply a goofball. He will be sorely missed! Vance passed away May 12, 2017 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, Iowa at twenty-three years of age. Vance is survived by his parents, Jerry and Cindy Peterson; big brother, Jeffrey Peterson; girlfriend, Jenni Good and her two girls, Keala and Layla; grandparents, Morris and DiAnn Peterson and Jack and Bea Burt; many aunts, uncles and cousins too many to list that loved him.
