Vernon L. Brosh

Vernon LeRoy Brosh was born January 7, 1938 in Milford, Iowa the son of Wilbur and Ann (Matheson) Brosh. He was raised and educated in Milford. Vernon was united in marriage to Ella Rork on December 23, 1961 in Arnolds Park, Iowa. The couple made their home in Milford, where they raised their family. Vernon worked for several years as a plumber, bus driver and plant supervisor at the Okoboji Summer Theatre. He was a member of Excelsior United Methodist Church in Excelsior. He enjoyed horses, helping others and spending time with family and friends, especially with his two grandchildren. Vernon passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake at seventy years of age. He is survived by his wife, Ella Brosh; children, Bruce Brosh and Deanna (Greg) Nattress; grandchildren Tyler and Brianna Nattress; and special friends, Griffin Champine, Phyllis Boles and Pat Achenbach. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Ivan (Mariene) Brosh, Thora Grostad, Thelma Tiessen, Millie (Ron) Feger, Marilyn Bass, Dennis (& friend Linda) Brosh, Ardell (Dave) Elhers, Sally (Donald) Appel; and Edith Brosh; many nieces and nephews, extended family from Okoboji Summer Theatre, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Brian LeRoy Brosh, parents, Wilbur and Ann Brosh, and brothers, Clinton and Clayton "Red" Brosh.
