Vicki Arends

Vicki Arends, age 70, of Spirit Lake passed away on January 17, 2025, at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer.

Vicki was born to Charles and Erma Coy. She grew up in the Arnolds Park area. Growing up she enjoyed roller skating and spending time at her grandma Mable's house. She loved hanging out around Arnolds Park and the Roof Garden.

Vicki was joined in marriage to James Arends and had two children, Loney and Shalonda. 

Vicki enjoyed a simple life, spending time at the beach, reading, watching her favorite TV shows, and cooking. She looked forward to the fair each year and had a special love for Christmas. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband (divorced). She is survived by her son Loney Arends, daughter Shalonda Jackson (Arends), six grandchildren: Phaedra Rezabek (Arends), Draven Spry, April Arends, Mable Arends, Storm Jackson, Avery Jackson and one great grandchild, Jaden Miller. 

The family will host a come and go visitation on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 12:00-4:00pm at 612 W 5th St. Spencer, IA 51301. We kindly request no plants or flowers due to the presence of pets in the home. Cards and messages of sympathy would be deeply appreciated.
