William C. Noehren

A memorial services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 11:00am at Mini Wakan State Park in Spirit Lake. William Charles Noehren was born June 11, 1942, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Alfred and Dorothy (Dahl) Noehren. William was raised and educated in Spencer, Iowa. Upon graduating from Spencer High School, he attended the University of Iowa. William married Joyce Murphy in April of 1962. In November of 2007, William married Becky Hugunin. The couple made their home in Spencer and Arnolds Park. William enjoyed the outdoors, especially waterfowl hunting. He also enjoyed collecting knives. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever. William passed away December 27, 2013 at Lake Park Care Center in Lake Park, Iowa, at seventy-one years of age. Surviving William are his wife Becky; daughters Tressa Kay Noehren of San Mateo, CA and Julie Leigh Noehren Tatman of Gilbert, AZ; son John Charles Noehren of Gilbert, AZ; step-daughter Jennifer Rogness of Rochester, MN; and step-son Justin Lachner of Branson, MO; five gradchildren, and three step grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Nancy Kay Buck of Lubbock, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Dorothy Noehren.
