A memorial service will be held at a later date for Pam Cerny, age 52, of Hastings on Hudson, New York and formerly of Spirit Lake, Iowa. Pamela Sue Cerny, the daughter of Frances Jean and Brian Marvin Cerny, was born on May 2, 1967 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from Spirit Lake High School and continued her education at Briar Cliff University. Throughout her life, Pam worked as a insurance claims manager and in 1991, she moved to Hastings on Hudson, New York. She was a member of the St. Matthew Catholic Church. Pam loved to spoil her nieces and nephews and enjoyed watching the twins play basketball. She loved her friends in New York and enjoyed keeping up with new and old friends through social media. While living in New York, she loved sitting by the river and doing needlepoint. Pam also loved to bake homemade pies and cookies for holiday celebrations and family get togethers. Her warmth and generosity will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. Pam passed away April 6, 2020 at the age of fifty-two years of age. She is survived by her mother, Fran Cerny, sisters, Stacy Cerny-Rosenblum and her husband, Mark, Amy Cerny Meyer and her husband, Curtis, brother, Brian Cerny and his wife, Gina, nephews, David Ohana, Julian Rosenblum, Christopher Meyer and Chaz Dean, nieces, Rose, Faith and Grace Meyer, Ciera Cerny and Paige Dean, great-nephews, Zayden and Jaxston, great-nieces, Payton, Kateleya, and Aeralyn. Pam was preceded in death by her father, Brian Cerny; grandparents, Frances and Martin Maslonka and Edna and Marvin Cerny.
