Obituary of Myrna Lou Schwarz

Myrna Lou (Cakerice) Schwarz was born July 1, 1947 in Eldora, Iowa, the daughter of Irvin Lloyd Jr. and Ruth Marie (Brehmer) Cakerice. She received her Bachelor of Science at Iowa State University and later received her CQ at Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois. On August 18, 1973, Myrna was united in marriage to William Eldon Schwarz in Eldora, Iowa. The family lived in Northwest Suburban Chicago before moving to Arnolds Park, Iowa in 2001. She worked as a Lutheran School Teacher for several years. Myrna was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake, Iowa. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her students. Myrna passed away September 1, 2010 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at sixty-three years of age. She is survived by her husband, William Schwarz; children, Amy Lamoureux (John) and Matthew Schwarz (Laura); brother, Irvin Lon Cakerice (Karen); sister-in-law, Myra Huff (Ron); five nieces and nephews; uncle, Miles Albright; many cousins and extended family.
