Obituary of Rosalie Mary Simpson

Rosalie Mary Simpson was born September 13, 1941 in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, the daughter of Johanna and George Wittrock. She graduated from Milford High School. She was united in marriage in 1960 to Dale Simpson in Milford, Iowa. The family lived in Terril and Everly before moving to Marathon in 1976. Rose worked as a CNA at Spencer's Hospital. Rose enjoyed shopping, decorating, reading and gardening. She also loved to go boating with the family, camping, fingernail art and soaking up the sun. She loved spending time with all her grandchildren, especially during the Christmas Season. Rose passed away November 11, 2009 at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake, Iowa at sixty-eight years of age. She is survived by her husband, Dale Simpson of Marathon, IA; seven children, Brenda Pomeroy of Ruthven, IA, Bruce Simpson and his wife Peggy of Sioux City, IA, Terry Simpson and his wife, Karen of Marathon, Tami Horsman and her husband, Kelly of Spirit Lake, IA, Scott Simpson and his wife Patty of Marathon, Staci Jones and her husband Vince of Clarinda, IA and Melissa Hanna and her husband Chris of Spencer, IA; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Kane and her husband Marty of Kansas City, MO; brothers, D.J. Wittrock and Jim Wittrock and his wife, Janie of Milford, IA She was preceded in death by her parents, Johanna and George Wittrock and one son-in-law, Dale Pomeroy.
