Obituary of Jerry Dale Smith

Jerry Dale Smith "Smitty" was born June 2, 1949 in Estherville, Iowa, the son of Lester and Nadine (Walters) Smith. He was educated in Estherville Iowa. On June 17, 1972, Jerry was united in marriage to Nancy Smith in Marshalltown, Iowa. He worked as a Supervisor for Swift & Co. in Worthington, Minnesota until his retirement. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the Minnesota Vikings play football. He also enjoyed playing cards, collecting antique guns and spending time with his family and friends. Jerry passed away August 17, 2012 at his home in Estherville, Iowa at sixty-three years of age. He is survived by his mother, Nadine Smith; sister, Kay Scott; daughters, Shelley (Troy) Knouse, Lisa (Jeremy) Brevik, Leslie Reiter and Angie Knutson; grandchildren, Adrian Smith, Asher Brevik, Mackenzie Brevik, Emily Knouse, Mikayla Knouse and Madyson Knouse. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Smith and his wife, Nancy Smith.
