Obituary of Ralph Eugene Walsh

Ralph Eugene Walsh was born April 26, 1920, the son of Edward and Mary (Froelich) Walsh in Superior, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Superior, graduating from Superior High School. Ralph was united in marriage to Mildred Bosrich in May 1954, in Spirit Lake. The couple made their home near Superior, where they raised their family and farmed. Ralph was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spirit Lake. Ralph enjoyed farming and his family. He was a wonderful father - a gentle man who appreciated everything anyone did for him. Ralph passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, Iowa at eighty-eight years of age. Left to survive are his children, Michael Walsh of Superior and Della Owens of Maryville, Missouri; long time friend of the family, Robert White of Superior; grandchildren, Chad and Marilyn Platt of Kansas City, Missouri, Cindy and Phil Kenkel of Maryville, Missouri; Jennifer and Chuck Abel of Winterset, Iowa; seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary; sisters, Veronica Smith and Theresa Hansen; brothers, Edward L. Walsh, Andrew Walsh and Jim Walsh.
