Obituary of Doug Noble

Doug Noble was born May 13, 1954 in Sibley, Iowa to Delbert and Elsie Noble. He spent his boyhood days near Little Rock and Ocheyedan, Iowa, graduating from Ocheyedan High School in 1972. After receiving his Associate Degree from Pipestone College in Minnesota, he took his first banking position at the Sheffield State Bank. In the mid-70s he accepted a position at Lakes National Bank in Arnolds Park, where he then made his home. He married Karla Wilson on April 7, 1979, and together they had two children, Stacey and Brandon. Doug lived and worked in the Lakes area for over 20 years. He was a member of the Lakes Sanitary District Board, active in Pheasants Forever, and a member of First Lutheran Church. He remained the treasurer for the City of Arnolds Park up to the time of his passing. In 2003 he relocated to the Mason City area. He loved his part-time work at local golf courses where he kept the greens in shape on mowers that reminded him of his youthful tractor days. He was also one of the original employees for the Mason City Best Buy where he kept the warehouse in good working order. He made many cherished friends in Mason City.
