Obituary of Delora Emerson

Delora J. Emerson was born December 2, 1928 in Marysville, Missouri, the daughter of Albert and Ruth (Crawford) Emerson. She graduated high school in Lake Park, Iowa with the class of 1948. Delora lived in California, New Mexico, Maryland, North Carolina and Virginia before moving to Spirit Lake, Iowa in 1982. Delora worked in telemarketing and won several awards since moving back to Iowa. She also took pictures for Olin Mills. She enjoyed the many fishing trips with her son, Tom, and her numerous cats and dogs. Delora loved going to yard sales with her sister and visiting with her family. Delora passed away on July 31, 2008 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake at seventy-nine years of age. She is survived by her son, Tom Barbour of Spirit Lake; sisters, June Berg of Spirit Lake and Betty Thomas of Bloomfield, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Art Emerson, Harry Emerson and Ed Emerson; sisters, Dorothy Rose and Helen Kelly; one son, Robin Rick.
