Obituary of Clarence W. Radtke

Clarence William Radtke, the son of Clarence Arthur and Ella Mae Radtke, was born December 21, 1935 in Nezpearce, Idaho. His family lived in Tacoma Washington for eleven years before moving to Spirit Lake in 1946. He completed high school in Spirit Lake. On January 28, 1956, Clarence was united in marriage to Judy Webb in Jackson, Minnesota. He owned and operated Radtke Oil Company for thirty six years in Spirit Lake. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for many years. Clarence enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking, golf and spending time with his family and friends. Clarence passed away at his home in Spirit Lake on January 27, 2008 at seventy-two years of age. He is survived by his wife, Judy; five children, Lori Lewis of Spirit Lake, Linda and her husband Steve Baltzegar of New Smyrna, Florida, Julie and her husband, Ralph Burton of Spirit Lake, Greg and his wife Jeanne of St. Peters, Missouri and Brian Radtke of Spirit Lake; one sister, Bernadene and her husband Duane Von Holdt of Estherville, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two aunts, Fern Lindquist and Annabelle Huggins of Washington State; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Ella Mae Radtke; son-in-law, Mike Lewis; great-grandson, Carter Michael Lewis.
