Obituary of Mary Bjornstad Heinrichs

Mary "Pooh" Bjornstad Heinrichs, the daughter of Wallace and Mary Jane (Moore) Bjornstad, was born May 28, 1959, in Spencer, Iowa. She spent her childhood years in Spencer. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1978. Mary resided in Spencer, where she cleaned houses, eventually opening her own cleaning business, "The Finishing Touch," which she was very proud of. Mary moved to Okoboji in 2005. She enjoyed cleaning, reading, listening to music on her Walkman, decorating her home, being outdoors, gardening, spending time with her family and friends, and most of all, her daughter, Sarah. She was very proud of being a single mom. Mary had a memorable laugh, and a great smile to go along with it. On December 18, 2007, Mary passed away unexpectedly at home at the age of forty-eight. She was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish Mary's memory are her daughter, Sarah Heinrichs of Okoboji, one sister, Margaret Russell of Des Moines, four brothers, Christopher and Connie Bjornstad of Okoboji, John Bjornstad of Okoboji, Edward and Diane Bjornstad of Okoboji, Fred and Deb Bjornstad of Haddenfield, New Jersey, and many loved nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
