Obituary of Dennis Molendorp

Dennis Leroy Molendorp was born on August 17, 1945 in Spirit Lake, Iowa, the son of Eldon and Doris (Brown) Molendorp. After serving his country in the United States Navy, Dennis farmed with his dad. He worked at McQuay Manufacturing and also a grounds keeper for Beaches Resort which led him into his lawn service and wood splitting. He lived in rural Dickinson County throughout his life. Dennis was a member of the American Legion. Dennis held a strong faith in God and nature. He loved to garden and give veggies to family and friends. He enjoyed his winters in Texas and in fact was looking forward to his trip this winter, so much so he made them let him use a cane because he didn't think the wheels on his walker would work very well on the sand beach. Dennis passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at sixty-two years of age. He is survived by his sisters, Linda Gano and her husband Dan, and Laurie Pedley; nephews, Chad Veenhuis, Jeremy Pedley and his wife Kandice; niece, Jennifer Potratz and her husband Rod; great-nephews, Justin, Jacob and Jordan Pedley, Grant and Will Potratz; many aunts, one uncle and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and grand-parents.
