Obituary of Wayne Krieger

A funeral service for Wayne Krieger, 91, of Dickens, will be held Friday, January 3, 2020, at 10:30 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Terril, Iowa. Burial will be at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in Terril. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 3:00-5:00pm at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Wayne Ivan Krieger, was born the third of six children on March 2, 1928, to Claude and Herma (Leighter) Krieger at home in Milford Township, Iowa. Wayne graduated from Terril High School and was an Army Veteran. On June 25, 1948, he married Mary Gretchen Halquist. Four children were born to their loving union. Farming was Wayne's life-long passion, which he enjoyed for many years on his farms in Dickinson and Clay counties, Iowa. Wayne passed away Monday, December 30, 2019, at Spencer Hospital, at ninety-one years of age. Wayne was predeceased by his parents; sister, Leona Larson; brothers, Robert and Raymond Krieger; son-in-law, Timothy Larson; grandson, Kristopher Jon George; great-grandson, Cash Sheffield Rolling. Left to cherish Wayne's memory are his loving wife of seventy-one years, Mary Gretchen; son, Thomas (Allyn) Krieger of Spencer; daughters, Jayne (Jamie) George of Lander, WY, Kristine Larson of Dickens, Mary Kay (Philip) Rolling of Milford; brother, Larry Krieger of Green Valley, AZ; sister, Linda (Dennis) Taylor of Spencer; sisters-in-law, Carrie Krieger of Spencer and Linda Drucker of Spirit Lake; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Karla (Roger) Fuentes, Corina and Mary Jane; Clayton (Nicole) Krieger, Ethan, Preston, Kylie and Olivia; Nathan (Randi) George, Nolan and Junia; Seth (Christina) George and Bronson; Kimberly (Michael) Matthews, Jacob, Alexa, Linnie and Maddax; Taya (Eddie) Larson, Jaxson; Alisha (Shane) Meyer, Ty and Gage; Levi (Terri) Larson, Taylor, Alyssa and Lane; Dylan (Samantha) Rolling, Indica, Dez, Soli and Vivvi; Daniel (Lindsey) Rolling; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
