Obituary of Dennis Purchase

An informal gathering Celebrating the Life of Dennis Purchase, age 70, of Milford, will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 3:00-7:00PM at the Purchase family home. Memorials may be left for a cure for Alzheimers. Dennis Purchase was born in Boston, Massachusetts. As a baby his family moved to Iowa and then a few years later to the Black Hills of South Dakota. Even though Dennis had lived in Milford, Iowa for the past 37 years he still considered Deadwood, South Dakota as home. Dennis was a 3rd generation building contractor and enjoyed the work. Traveling was a favorite pastime. From his planning to meet friends for a meal, to playing tour guide in the Hills, to a week in Europe, he relished the experience. Watching sports, working on the acreage, and coffee with friends were everyday activities he enjoyed. He especially liked time spent with family, friends and his pets. Dennis passed away at home on January 24th as the result of Alzheimers. His wife Connie, his cat and his dog were at his side. His quiet, easy going nature will be missed.
