Obituary of Carol Palmer

A funeral service for Carol Palmer, age 79, formerly of Milford, will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 1:30PM at Turner Jenness Funeral Home in Milford. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Milford Cemetery.

Carol Jo Palmer, the daughter of Henry and Olive (Nattress) Lundblad, was born July 17, 1941 in Green Leaf Township in Minnesota. She graduated from Milford High School. Carol was married to Wesly Burgin in 1959 and they had two sons.

In 1978, Carol was married to James Palmer in Spencer, Iowa. Carol worked as a presser for Shipley's Dry Cleaners as well as Bryon Cleaners for twenty-eight years.

Carol enjoyed game shows, doing cross word puzzles, gardening and loved all her cocker spaniel dogs. Her favorite team was the Iowa Hawkeyes and her and Jim enjoyed watching games together. One of Carol's most important values was her ability to be a very hard worker, the old fashion way. A trait she learned from her mother.

Carol passed away October 19, 2020 at Palisades Healthcare in Garretson, South Dakota at seventy-nine years of age.

She is survived by her husband, James Palmer; two sons, Mitchell Burgin and Daniel Burgin; sister, Gayl Schouveller.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Olive Lundblad and one sister, Tootie.
