Sharon Anne Meyer, daughter of Elmer & Ruth Jensen, was born November 24, 1946 in Omaha, Nebraska.  She was raised in Lake Park, Iowa, where in 1969 Sharon was united in marriage to Paul Meyer.  Shortly after marriage, they moved to Minnesota where she excelled at TCF Bank, and was able to transition over to full time homemaker after being blessed with the arrival of her children Tyree and Todd.

Sharon was a founding member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Lakeville, MN where she spent many years serving as a beloved Sunday School teacher who was known for her highly creative and interactive weekly lessons with the students.

Sharon was the spiritual backbone of her family, the party planner for countless family gatherings and celebrations, and she spent many years enjoying travels around the country.

Sharon is survived by her children, Tyree Johnson (Jake) of St. Paul, Minnesota, Todd Meyer (Angie) of Raleigh, North Carolina and her seven grandchildren who she affectionately named the "Magnificent 7" and were a tremendous source of pride in her life: Makayla Meyer (19), Cole Meyer (17), Sydney Johnson (15), Garrett Johnson (14), Ryleigh Meyer (13), Greta Johnson (12), and Mason Meyer (11). She is also survived by her siblings Richard Jensen, Jack Jensen, and Louise Angell (Tony), her Aunt June Schoelerman, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to the United Mitrochondrial Disease Foundation (www.umdf.org). Sharon had a hereditary eye disease which caused her to lose most of her eyesight in 2017.
