Personally, I had never met Janett "JONNIE" Bennett. But in my research on the Grumman C-2A Greyhound, I often came across her name. She was one of the first women to fly the C-2 in the US NAVY. May she rest in peace. Comfort to all her loved ones and all your friends in the VAW/VRC community. Boerries Burkhardt www.c2greyhound.com

I always loved running into Jan, usually at the grocery store. Our conversation topics were many --- her VW and the restoration of it, feminist views, political mish-mash and many more! She was independent and intelligent, a true trailblazer for women. Her sense of humor was always appreciated and our conversation usually ended with a laugh and smile. Fly high lady until we meet again!

Miss you, my co-American friend at the North Pole.
Condolences to sweet Gaylen who I have known since birth.
Condolences to sisters and nephews I only heard stories about.
Fly high!
