Cole Dean Dodds, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, just four days after the loss of his father, Dean Dodds.

Born on June 2, 1975, in Spirit Lake, Iowa, Cole was the cherished son of Dean and Cathleen (Danbom) Dodds. He spent his formative years in Spirit Lake and completed his education at Spirit Lake High School. Driven by his passion for knowledge, Cole pursued higher education and achieved a Master of Science Degree.

On December 21, 2005, Cole embarked on a lifelong journey of love and companionship when he married his soulmate, Amber Gembler, in St. Lucia. Their union was marked by unwavering support and love.

Cole and Amber returned home in 2007 after previously living in Ames and Des Moines. He thrived in his career as a Quality Assurance Engineer, bringing his meticulous attention to detail and dedication to his work.

However, Cole's true passion lay in spending quality time with his family, especially at the lake. He found solace and joy in activities such as boating, wakeboarding, hunting, fishing, and simply being outdoors. He enjoyed working on his dock, maintaining his home, and relishing the simple joys of life. Watching his daughters, Kinley and Kylin, grow up on the lake brought him immeasurable happiness. Cole was actively involved in their lives and took great pride in supporting their various activities.

During the challenging times his family faced, Cole demonstrated unwavering strength and compassion. He was a pillar of support for his mother, Cathleen Dodds, and his wife, Amber, providing comfort and assistance as they navigated their grief. Cole's devotion to his family knew no bounds.

Cole will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Amber Dodds; his precious daughters, Kinley and Kylin; his mother, Cathleen Dodds; his sister, Rain (Tom) Boone; his nephews, Trey and Jett Sheehan; as well as his extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Dodds; uncle, Gary Dodds; uncle, Jerry Danbom; cousin, Alex Danbom; great-aunt, Virginia Danbom; grandparents, Lester and Orlyn Danbom; Quinten and Wilma Dodds; and father-in-law, Larry Gembler.
