Obituary of Evelyn Louise Henderson

Evelyn Louise Henderson was born July 19, 1921 to Wayne and Lola Creery in St. Edwards, Nebraska. She spent her childhood there until January 1926 when she moved with her parents to Spirit Lake, Iowa. She attended school in Spirit Lake and graduated in May, 1940. She married Lloyd Anfinson in January, 1941 and to this union three children were born, Larry, Sharon and Ron. She married Don Henderson in September, 1960 in Spirit Lake. Evelyn worked for Berkley and Company (now Pure Fishing) for twenty-four years in the manufacturing departments and then in the Human Resource Department. She retired from there in March 1985. After retirement, Evelyn spent a lot of time with Volunteer Action, made quilts in the church, attending Circle, having coffee with friends, and also had more time to enjoy with her family. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and reading. She loved animals, birds, leaves and her dog, Max. She leaves to mourn her husband, Don; sons Larry (Sharon) from Spirit Lake, Iowa, Ron (Judy) from Sioux City, Iowa; daughter Sharon (Bob) from Fresno, California; grandchildren, Jeff (Karen), Pam, Mike, Annika (Mike), great-grandchildren, Jamie, Joel, Jade (Adam), Maggie, Devon, Makala, Kimberlyn and her dog, Max. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Blanche; brother, Lloyd and Lloyd Anfinson.
