Obituary of Darryl E. Jensen

Darryl Einer Jensen was born December 12, 1947 in Estherville, Iowa, the son of Einer and Mary Jo (Carter) Jensen. In 1965, he enlisted into the National Guard and received a honorable medical discharge in 1969. On September 30, 1967, Darryl was united in marriage to Mary Catherine Bormann in St. Benedict, Iowa. They lived in Graettinger, Estherville and Armstrong before moving to Milford in 1996. Darryl worked as an electrician for many years. He attended the St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the V.F.W. in Estherville, Iowa. He enjoyed western movies, country music, cars and motorcycles. He also liked to hunt, fish, cook and do handyman work. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family. Darryl passed away April 18, 2012 at Spencer Municipal Hospital at sixty-four years of age. He is survived by his wife, Mary; four children, Lori (John) Haffner, Matthew (Amy) Jensen, Michael (Amanda) Jensen and Eric (Abby) Jensen; one sister, Carol (Tom) Kimmet; twelve grandchildren, Gregory (Briana), Ariel, Joey, Devin, Lexi, Madi, Carter, Braeden, Kylie, Conrad, Connor and Evan; one great-granddaughter, Riley; His parents, Einer and Mary Jo Jensen, preceded him in death.
