Obituary of Brenda Lindsay

Brenda Sue Lindsay passed away at the age of 49 on Thursday, May 31, at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake from cancer. Brenda was born December 2, 1962 in Spencer, Iowa to Diana (Drexler) and Jerry Lindsay. She grew up in Arnolds Park, Iowa and attended Arnolds Park Public Schools. Growing up she enjoyed working with the Lindsay Dock and Lawn Service. In her spare time, she loved drawing, painting and doing other crafts. She also enjoyed playing with her brothers, sister, and friends. During her adult life, Brenda enjoyed making teddy bears and other sewing projects, painting jackets and other things, cooking, telling many stories and taking many pictures. She also enjoyed going to the beach with her daughters. In fact, any time she could spend with her daughters and granddaughters she enjoyed. Brenda passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Lakes Regional Healthcare at 49 years. Brenda left behind her four daughters: Leah (Jonathan) Moore Jones of Spirit Lake, Stephanie Moore of Spirit Lake, Dena Dirks and fiancée' Daniel Bainbridge of Sioux City and Hannah Dirks of Rock Rapids; three grandchildren: Hailey and Zoey Jones and Hannah Norton. She also left behind her mother, Diana Lindsay and five siblings; Don (Brenda) Lindsay, Tim (Trish) Lindsay, Dan (Kelly) Lindsay, Kelly Lindsay, and Phil (Renee) Lindsay. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Lindsay, and her daughter, Angela Moore.
