Obituary of Thomas Moore

Thomas Lee Moore was born March 4, 1965 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Curtis Moore and Diane and Dan Brumley. Tom attended Milford Elementary and continued his education in Lake Park. He then attended Jackson Vo-Tech College. He lived in Seattle Washington for a short time before moving to Harris, Iowa until 2000. He then began building his house on Little Spirit Lake in Spirit Lake, Iowa. In 1983, Tom was united in marriage to Patricia Taylor. To this union, a daughter, Nicole, was born. In 1998, Tom met Roxane Long and on May 13, 2006, they were united in marriage in Anderson County Park in Minnesota. Tom and Roxane had two sons, Logan, who was born in 1999, and Connor, who was born in 2003. He was self employed for many years and was currently working for Cornell Construction. Tom loved his family and life itself. He enjoyed riding his Harley, snowmobile and jet ski and loved to give rides. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, bow hunting, the pontoon and grilling for his family. Tom passed away January 28, 2011 in Spirit Lake as a result of a snowmobile accident at forty-five years of age. He is survived by his wife, Roxane; children, Nicole Moore, Logan Moore, Connor Moore and Cassandra Marr; mother, Diane Maranell Brumley and his step-father, Dan Brumley; brothers, Tony, Kendall and Kip; step-brother, Clint Brumley; sisters, Pam Schoenhut and Jean Baker; step-sister, Autumn Ross; nieces, Brooke and Jordan Moore; nephews, Jesse, Kyle and Todd Moore. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Moore and his sister, Joan Otten.
